About Big Dog Adhesives
Big Dog Adhesives is a family-owned adhesive manufacturer based in Elkhart, Indiana. Founder Lou Giovannini created his first solid surface adhesive in the family garage in 1999. Since then, Big Dog has become a trusted partner to fabricators, manufacturers, and installers across North America.
Today, we formulate high-performance adhesives for solid surface, marine, RV and trailer, sign, composite, and structural applications — backed by responsive support and real-world problem-solving.

Our Story:
From Garage Formulas to a Reusable Future
Big Dog Adhesives was born from a simple idea in a garage — and RELOAD™ grew from a simple question at a steakhouse: “Why are we throwing all these cartridges away?”
- 1999: Lou invents his first solid surface adhesive in the family garage.
- 2019: Big Dog launches the “Recycle My Tube” program, refilling used cartridges for local customers.
- During COVID: Reusing cartridges keeps Big Dog and its customers supplied when new cartridges are hard to find.
- 2023–2025: Lou and the team design, prototype, and patent RELOAD™, a reusable cartridge built around sausage-style adhesive packs.
- January 2026: RELOAD™ makes its public debut at The International Surface Event (TISE) in Las Vegas.
